FEE PER PERSON: £1,397
ACCOMMODATION + SPA
- 3 nights sole occupancy accommodation in a Cosy room at the Hoxton Hotel, Holborn
- £116 credit for products or treatment at the Aveda Lifestyle and Day Spa in Covent Garden or for use at Aveda Experience Centres across the England, or similar calibre spa.

GOURMET MEALS + DRINKS
- Opening three-course dinner at Vanilla Black, or similar calibre venue on Friday night
- 3 x very light breakfast bag included with your room
- Brunches at The Holborn Grind and Hubbard & Bell, or similar calibre venues on Saturday and Sunday
- Champagne afternoon tea at The Delaunay, or similar calibre venue on Saturday
- Light lunch at workshop venue on Sunday
- Closing three-course dinner at Nopi, or similar calibre venue on Sunday
- Filtered water, soft drinks and some cocktails and wine with evening meals
- Some tea/coffee.
NOTE: I (that's me, Clare) don’t want to over-schedule our retreat, which might interrupt your late afternoon nap, treatment or mooch around the West End. Hence why I haven't scheduled dinner plans for Saturday evening. If you're peckish later, then you have many great restaurant choices at the hotel and in nearby Covent Garden.
- All London black cab fares to relevant locations as necessary.
NOT INCLUDED: mini bar items, optional gratuities, extra drinks, snacks or alcohol. Travel to/from the hotel.

If you're craving some time out, good company and headspace to reflect on what really matters, then yes, this Reviving Retreat is what you need.
I'M AN INTROVERT. WILL THIS RETREAT WORK FOR ME?
Here's the deal: your retreat will be a mix of quiet reflective moments, gentle group discussion during morning workshops plus relaxed mealtimes together. You have plenty of solo and/or chillout time in the afternoon and evening in which to relish your escape from reality.
HOW MANY PLACES ARE THERE ON EACH RETREAT?
There will be no more than 10 women on this Reviving Retreat with Savse smoothies and Urban Curiosity.
About the venue + food + travel
The Hoxton Hotel, Holborn 199-206 High Holborn, London WC1V 7BD
Check-in is from 2pm and checkout from midday. Feel free to make your own arrangements for a late check out with hotel reception.
Nearest station is Holborn, Covent Garden is nearby.
Arrival Friday and depart Monday. Please make travel plans accordingly.
Our first session will take place at 4pm on Friday. I recommend you arrange to arrive earlier than this to get settled into your hotel room and make sure you have everything you need for the weekend. We will say goodbye at our closing dinner on Sunday evening.

We will be eating at beautiful restaurants where the teams will be more than happy to accommodate your needs.
After sign-up, I’ll send you a brief questionnaire about this. You can tell me then about what you need in order to stay well and nourished.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No, the vibe here is casual. I'll send you a list of things to bring but in essence you need warm comfortable clothing and footwear for our jaunts around town and something ritzier for our closing dinner.
You’re staying in the heart of London’s West End. I want you to have plenty of time to mooch, explore, shop, scoff, sleep – whatever feels juicy.
FRI | Arrival day and walkshop from 4-6.30pm // Dinner at 7pm.
SAT | Brunch 9.30-10.30am // workshops from 10.30am-2pm // group afternoon tea 2-3.30pm // free time for treatments, mooching and naps.
SUN | Brunch 9.30-10.30am // Workshops from 10.30am-1.30pm with sandwich lunch // free time for spa sessions, treatments and lake-gazing // 7.30pm cocktails and special closing dinner. Reflections and farewells.

Workshop Content and Facilitators
HELP! I'M USELESS AT ART
The creativity session is very light touch, playful and, to be honest, totally optional. If you carry the scars of Mrs Smith’s acerbic words about your (lack of) artistic talents when you were eight, then know this: mucking about with ink, pencils, watercolours, paper folding, tearing, and scrunching feels delicious.
When you focus on the feeling of the doing it and not the outcome, then you are in flow and feeling free. That’s what these creative experiments are about.
HOW MUCH WALKING WILL BE INVOLVED?
We will do some walking around town each day. I recommend you bring comfortable flat shoes for these sessions.
We will be strolling and stopping every 10 minutes or so in our walkshop. We may have a short walk to local restaurants.

OK, enough of writing about myself in the third person. I will lead sessions using my Urban Curiosity applied mindfulness methodology. You will learn how to reframe your digital life and get clear on what matters to you in real life. You will experiment with vision-boarding and creative practices for wellbeing. And you will discover simple ways to get in touch with your inner wisdom and listen to your intuition in the day-to-day.

WHO IS THE GUEST EXPERT?
Alexandra Franzen is a writer based in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of 3 books and has been featured in over 6 others, including a bestselling guide to launching a creative business.
Her writing has been featured on websites like Time, Forbes, Newsweek, The Huffington Post, and Lifehacker, as well as in song lyrics, on product packaging, and stenciled onto fine art paintings. She has led writing workshops in 17 cities around the world, and one of her events was named one of the "50 Best Conferences to Attend This Year" by The Muse.
Alex will teach a workshop on creating a tiny book. She defines a "tiny book" as a short, self-published project - typically 20 - 70 pages - on any topic that feels meaningful and exciting to you. It could be a collection of true stories for your kids to read when they're older. It could be a family cookbook. It could be a "how to" e-book for your clients. Alex loves showing people how to outline their book (and keep it simple!), how to brainstorm book title ideas, create time/space to work on it, and actually get it done!
Alex lives with her sweetheart Brandon (a sexy chef) and they run a pop-up brunch restaurant together on the weekends, where they host a monthly "Letters & Brunch" party for people who love croissants, bacon, and handwritten letters. ACCESSIBILITY: The hotel is fully accessible. Some of the workshops will involve walking in the local neighbourhood, which may not suit people with mobility challenges. I'm sorry if this means the retreat won't be suitable for you.
